MAGA politicians and an historically lazy Republican-run state legislature are failing to deliver for working people and families in Wisconsin.

Rising costs are straining working people and families across Wisconsin. But Republicans have failed to do enough to help. While wealth is continuing to grow for those at the top, with a record number of billionaires, MAGA Republicans in Madison are rigging the system with more tax breaks to price-gouging corporations while blocking relief for working families. 

MAGA policies are making health care more expensive and Republicans in the state legislature aren’t helping. They voted no to capping insulin costs, against making prescription drugs more affordable, and opposed protecting health care consumers. The result is high healthcare costs, even for people with insurance, while insurance companies report record profits.

Republicans refused to repeal a law from 1849 that extremists tried to use to ban abortion, with no exceptions for rape or incest. They’d strip women of modern medical care, leaving them without access to emergency reproductive services and threaten to jail doctors for providing lifesaving care. They even voted against protecting access to birth control.

Wisconsin’s kids deserve fully funded public schools, well-paid teachers, and safe classrooms, but Republicans in the state legislature have systematically undercut public education for years, siphoning taxpayer dollars into private vouchers and leaving public schools under-resourced and students behind while our local property taxes increase.

Republican politicians have failed to crack down on big tech and instead are doling out billions of dollars in a tax giveaway to data center developers.

Extremist Republicans have repeatedly rejected common sense reforms to legalize marijuana in Wisconsin, like has happened in neighboring states Michigan, Minnesota, and Illinois and is the case in 41 states and the District of Columbia.
